The Right of Association of the Argentine Armed Forces: Challenge of the 4th luster of the 21st Century

Abstract

This paper tackles a study of the right of association and trade union relating to the personnel of the Armed Forces, in special consideration of the factual tensions that exists in Argentina as well as in other countries. In this order, the article analyses the standard of protection of those rights, especially in the Inter-American System. It describes how these human rights standards apply in Argentine, emphasizing the challenges that are present for the Latin American region. Finally, the conclusion expresses possible solutions that governments can apply to present challenges.
