Abstract

Accessibility is a fundamental issue to create true equality among the members of a society. New information technologies have been changing the way people access to public services. This paper aims to describe how advances in science have been used to improve access of persons with disabilities to public services, with an emphasis on transportation. Likewise, an international criterion regarding the obligation of States to provide accessibility to the digital age and transportation to persons with visual impairment is discussed.
