Main Article Content
Abstract
Using a vast compilation of new reports and research on the subject, this article provides an over view of the impacts generated by the practice of fracking on the environment and human rights in order to demonstrate that their use and the fossil fuels are not a suitable or desirable option for the future of the planet. This article explores the experiences that other countries have had with fracking and discusses with more detail how it is being developed in Mexico and how its implementation is affecting a wide range of human rights.
