Megaprojects and their implications on human rights: The Mexican case

Abstract
This paper presents Mexican experience in planning, construction and operation of megapro jects on its territory, from the perspective of its inhabitant’s human rights. For that task, it deals with the study of two cases in recent history: La Parota Dam, in Guerrero; and The Mayan Palace Hotel, in Cancun, Quintana Roo.
