Towards a conceptualization of childhood in Mexico

Abstract
The rights of the children found echo when the concept of childhood itself appeared as a result of diverse changes over the time. However, we must recognize the diversity of social and cultural contexts in which children develop. In this article, we emphasize the historicity of the concept of childhood and the relation that should be built with native categories to achieve the full exercise of the human rights of indigenous children, particularly those with disabilities.
