Abstract

This paper aims to offer a simple explanation about the content and scope of equality, specially between men and women, through the consideration of the international obligations of respect, protection, guarantee and promotion of human rights. It’s principal purpose is to offer a clear translation of what, from a legal perspective, must be understood by equality, in order to promote governments to be able to design strategies and specific actions that lead to the demystification of equality.
