Abstract

This article proposes a method for creating accessible legal judgments for children and adolescents. Despite the legal recognition of this right, a clear methodology about this is lacking. The study introduces the didactic preface, an interdisciplinary tool that in its methodological design combines law with psychopedagogy. It is based on cognitive traits like egocentric and concrete thought to make accessible the entire content of the original judgment. The method, designed to be viable for judges, guarantees children’s and adolescent’s right to justice and to understand a ruling that affects them throughout their development.
