Aproximaciones conceptuales para el análisis del fenómeno de la violencia contra defensoras y defensores de derechos humanos

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to stand out the human rights defenders’ performance in democratic societies and to incorporate some considerations towards the effect in which the phenomenon of violence can impact on their work. Moreover, this paper approaches to some international law standards on this subject, with an emphasis on those developed in the InterAmerican System by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
