Restorative justice in Colombia, adoption by the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, component of the comprehensive system for truth, justice, reparation and non-recurrence

Abstract
This article analyzes the development and implementation of the concept of Restorative Justice in Colombia, focusing its study on its application and adoption by the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (SJP). The SJP is the justice component of the Comprehensive System for Truth, Justice, Reparation and Non-recurrence, created by the Final Agreement to End The Armed Conflict And Build A Stable And Lasting Peace, signed between the national government of Colombia and the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia on 26 November 2016. For this purpose, we provide an analysis of the different rules that regulate the use of restorative justice and that were issued to further the implementation of the SJP. The article follows a qualitative research of jurisprudence, doctrine and interviews. The description, classification, explanation and interpretation of data, provides an overview of the current situation and development of the concept of restorative justice within the SJP.
