Abstract

In the present work, we carry out the analysis on the situation of access to the right to health of migrants in transit through Mexico, specifically on one aspect: the accessibility through the Seguro Social and the Seguro Popular. We analyze the limitations that migrants find in the exercise of the right to health, obstacles that are legal, political or administrative. Although there are efforts like Seguro Popular, we still detected deep deficiencies in accessing health services. At the end, we will see some concrete recommendations to optimize the exercise of the right to health of migrants. With the foregoing in this work, you have an initial diagnosis on the exercise of the right to health of migrants, also a reference to make improvements in the applicable regulations.
